DANCE BIOGRAPHY ABOUT: JUAN MORALES

Born in the country where the RUMBA, MAMBO, CHA-CHA and BOLERO comes from: CUBA.

Once upon a time Juan came to the U.S.A. to study in New York City and at that time DISCO-HUSTLE was being danced in every dance club in the city. He learned about BEATS and RHYTHMS from a very early age. Also while he still lived in Cuba, he was invited to a few QUINCES ( like America’s 16 year old girl debutants.) danced to DANZON music: the style resembles today’s CASINO- RUEDA – SALSA dancing. (changing partners throughout the whole dance).

Because SALSA music and steps are so similar to MAMBO’S, it has been one of his favorite dances to TEACH, DANCE and COMPETE with.

He owned the Arthur Murray Franchise in 1985 in Boca Raton- Florida area , then he owned GRACELAND DANCE SCHOOL in Fort Lauderdale for 10 years. He organized a DANCE COMPETITION called AMERICA and also organizes DANCE SHOWCASES, he also judges

Showcases and Dance Competitions.
Juan has and continues encouraging private individuals and organizations to sponsor Dance Competitions as a way of helping the Dance Business grow bigger.

What Juan takes the most pride in doing is teaching and coaching students and professionals of all ages, levels, and styles and seeing their progress as time goes by. The better dancer a person becomes the more FUN it is. Juan also loves to compete with his students that he trains in AMERICAN and INTERNATIONAL styles of all levels,
he can train AMATEUR COUPLES to do the same. He can teach in 2 languages : ENGLISH and SPANISH.
He really enjoys working and being around people who want to better themselves, whether it is through dancing or any other field. He has travelled all over the world and has seen many cultures, their customs, food, music and dance and considers UNITED STATES as THE BEST of them all. One of his most proud moments in his
life was to become an AMERICAN CITIZEN. He has over 25 years of dance teaching experience
in Florida.
